MIGRANT EDUCATION PROGRAM (MEP)

 The Migrant Education Program (MEP) is a federally funded program, whose focus is to identify and provide academic supports for those students whose education is interrupted by migratory work. &nbsp;Our goal is to ensure our students are safe, responsible, and prepared in their education as well as daily life.</div></div><div class="row clearfix" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><div class="column full display">Qualifications</div><div class="column full display">Students and their families, who travel across school district boundaries for economic necessity to participate in seasonal subsistence or commercial fishing, berry picking, or to work in the agriculture or logging industry, and were away from home for a combined total of 8 days and 7 nights, may be eligible. &nbsp;Eligible youth must be under 20 years old but are not required to be registered in a school. &nbsp;Therefore, preschoolers, homeschoolers, and out-of-school youth are also eligible if they have not graduated.</div><div class="column full display"> </div></div><div class="row clearfix"><div class="column half flow-opposite"><h3 style="font-size: 32px;">Benefits</h3><h3>Some benefits for students include:<ul style="font-size: 14px; font-weight: 400;"><li>&nbsp;Academic Support Services </li><li>Free School Lunch Program </li><li>Book Fair Vouchers </li><li>Water Safety/Swim Passes</li><li>Free PFDs</li><li>Kindles</li><li>School supplies and fees</li><li>Tutoring</li></ul></h3>
